The Bears Replace Cody Parkey With A Guy Named "Blewitt"

I’m still waiting on confirmation on how to properly pronounce the name but for now we’re going BLEE-wit. Makes things a lot simpler around here because as you can imagine the Cody Parkey wound is still open. And until the Bears notch a playoff win it will likely remain open. That’s both serious and pathetic.

For what it’s worth. Blewitt is supposed to have a very  big leg. His career long at Pitt was 56 and Ryan Pace was clear they wanted to target leg strength in replacing Parkey. A few weeks back CB took home top honors at the 2019 Kohls Kicking camp which is supposed to be a big deal in the Special Teams Community.

That earned him a tryout yesterday which earned him a chance to win the job while stomaching every bad joke imaginable in the process. Good thing he has The Clutch Gene:
