Today Is Chicago's 182nd Birthday, Here Are The Best Things To Ever Happen To Our Great City

Ladies and gentlemen… Queue the music:

Never forget that Sinatra had two songs about Chicago and only one about NYC (I think)

Anyways, we’d be remiss not to mention that today’s the birthday to the greatest fucking city on earth, so long as it isn’t January or February.

Chicago obviously has it’s issues with political and corruption and violence (concentrated in a few select neighborhoods), but for 9 months out of the year there’s not a better place on earth.  That’s not an opinion, it’s just a fact.  The food is fucking great, it has an awesome music scene, a beach, rooftop bars, it’s not overcrowded

I’m not going to try to convince you otherwise.  I’ll let the pictures do the talking:

Rock hard just looking at those pics.  Get me to St. Patrick’s Day goddamnit!

So you now know that Chicago is at least the most aesthetic city in the world, but what about its history?  Here’s a list of the greatest moments in Chicago history:

5. Bears win Super Bowl XX

4. Chris Sale Bends the Cubs over a handrail in 2015

3. Paul Konerko Grand Slam Game 2 in 2005 World Series

2. Scott Podsednik Walks of in game 2 of the 2005 World Series

1. White Sox win the 2005 World Series in 4 game sweep
