Pete Davidson Kicks A College Kid Wearing An Ariana Grande T-Shirt Out Of His Show

MERCED SUN-STAR – A couple of UC Merced students say they were bullied, embarrassed and eventually kicked out of a student-sponsored comedy show by comedian Pete Davidson because one of them was wearing a T-shirt featuring pop singer Ariana Grande, Davidson’s ex-girlfriend.

First of all, I love Pete Davidson, but I’ll be the first to admit that kicking someone out of your show for wearing a t-shirt of your ex-girlfriend is a baby soft move.   Same with kicking someone out for not laughing at one your jokes.

Ivan Martinez said he was seated in the front row and didn’t laugh at one of Davidson’s jokes, which the 21-year-old said he found tasteless.

Having said that, nobody has heard Pete’s side of it.  He hasn’t given a comment and neither has his PR team.  So I can’t exactly speak for him per se…but I’m gonna speak for him.

These kids stink.

“He made a child molestation joke, which I did not find funny. He called me out for, I guess, not laughing at his joke,” the cognitive science major said. “He said, ‘Why is this dude all serious?’ He kept asking me if I had anything to say.”

Martinez shook his head repeatedly, he said.

The comedian continued to pester him with questions, according to Martinez, who is from Modesto. Then the SNL comedian called him an “ass—-,” and Martinez’s boyfriend, Juan Aguirre, came to his defense.

“I said ‘This is a student show sponsored by students,’ “ 20-year-old Aguirre said. “The comedian said, ‘No, this is my show and you’re getting kicked out.’ “

As they left, Davidson flipped them off.

Don’t even get me started on being offended at a stand-up comedian performing stand-up comedy at a stand-up comedy show on a college campus.  And the comeback, “This is a student show sponsored by students!” speaks for itself – that’s like a slightly less aggressive but just as entitled “do you know who my dad is.”

But this is probably my favorite part:

Martinez insists he wasn’t trying to make a scene by wearing the shirt, adding he’s a fan of Grande and her new album was days away.

Lol yeah ok buddy.  Playing the victim like you were just minding your own business – you don’t sit front row at a Pete Davidson show in an Ariana Grande shirt without the very, very specific agenda of “making a scene,” especially when you’re the kind of person who describes a comedian’s material as “tasteless.”  Come on now.  Don’t piss on my head and tell me it’s raining and don’t stare Pete Davidson down while wearing a shirt with his ex’s face on it and say you’re just a biggggggg 7 Rings fan.

Seems to me like somebody wanted to bring some heat but couldn’t take the return fire.

Since the Feb. 3 show, the Merced couple tried to speak with a number of administrators and attempted to file a police report to no avail. They said they contacted reporters because they felt let down by administrators.

They admitted that no crime had taken place, but the couple said campus police told them they would write a report about the incident.

They did meet with one administrator, according to Aguirre, a computer science engineering student from Ballico. “He was dismissive about the whole thing,” he said. “Instead they tell us if we want to pursue this further, we could get in trouble.”

“It was like public humiliation,” Aguirre said. “We want a public apology.”

A police report!

Can’t believe I’m saying this but…good for the college administrators?  Refreshing to see somebody stand strong and refuse to fold for a couple of entitled whiny babies.

thank u, next.
