REPORT: Kevin Love To Cleveland, Wiggins And Thad Young To Minnesota And Anthony Bennett To Philly Officially "Done"

Cleveland Cavaliers v Sacramento Kings

YB – On Monday night Brian Windhorst reported that a trade that will send Kevin Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers has essentially been completed. Windhorst claims it is a “handshake agreement” at this point, as the Cavs have to wait a few weeks to trade No. 1 pick Andrew Wiggins to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Wiggins can’t be shipped out of town until 30 days after he signed his rookie contract. Windhorst claims it could actually wind up being a be a three-way trade that will send Love to the Cavs, with Wiggins and Thaddeus Young going to the Wolves and Anthony Bennett going to the Philadelphia 76ers. So yeah, I’d say that qualifies as a blockbuster deal. A team could still come in and blow the Timberwolves away with another offer since the deal is not official yet, but that’s unlikely at this point.

We couldn’t land the other Canadian? Come on, Hinkie. Trade away a generation’s worth of draft picks to get that coveted lineup of MCW, Wiggins, Daric, Embiid and Noel. Oh well. Beggers can’t be choosers.

Anthony Bennett joins Kwame Brown, Joe Smith and Derrick Coleman* (holy shit I despise all three of those names) as former #1 picks to join the Sixers who had no shot in hell of living up to their lottery pick hype. He didn’t even record a double-double last year until February. In 52 games, he averaged 4.2 points and 3.0 rebounds in 12.8 minutes per game.I guess even if Bennett becomes a a borderline all-star this squad will be unstoppable in 2027.

Roll the mediocre tape!

*If myself, Patrick Ewing and Derrick Coleman ever found ourselves in a Sauna the surrounding area would need to build an Ark. The Dream Team of perspiration.
