The Minnesota Wild suck right now. There is no other way to say it. They are 1-6-3 in their last 10 but lucky for them, if the playoffs ended today they would still be in. The wheels are definitely falling off the wagon in Minnesota though as GM Paul Fenton said he cries himself to sleep at night basically thinking about how bad his team has been playing. Fenton spoke with the media after the Wild’s 4-0 loss to Anaheim on Tuesday night.
Look I like to have myself a good cry every now and then…except I’m more of a happy crier. Military “I’m coming home” videos, when Whit offers to pay my bar tab after I ran it up too high and when I’ve smoked a little too much and my food delivery arrives are what really get me. But sad crying sucks, especially when you live in the state of hockey and have the entire state of watching your every move.
Fenton has some big decisions to make going forward, he needs to decide whether or not the team should buy or sell at the deadline. He also needs to get it the fuck together. You’re an NHL GM buddy. Come on. Stop the crying and go make some deals. Get this team and franchise in a position to win. He’ll be a god in that state if he does
