I Need Both Liam And Noel Gallagher To Stop Being Such Twats

210x

I’ve had it up to here with these two. Up to here! So help me if they don’t figure this out I will turn this car right around. And no dessert after dinner either!

That’s how it feels being a fan of Oasis, and both Liam and Noel. It’s like being a fan of the biggest and richest brother babies on Earth. And they need each other. That’s the thing. They are like Mary Kate and Ashley- together they are megastars, apart they are “hey look, it’s one half of Mary Kate and Ashley”. Noel and Liam are fine and dandy on their own. Each has their own solo project and side bands, and some of it is good. But together, they are god damn OASIS, one of the best rock n roll bands of all time. Classics like Supersonic, Wonderwall, Champagne Supernova, Stop Crying Your Heart Out, Don’t Look Bang In Anger, and so many more. (I blogged my top 10 HERE)

But it’s now been 10 years (in August) since they last played together in Oasis. A freaking decade. That’s far too long to be in a squabble for anyone, especially two brothers where if they just shake hands and get back together, they sell out arenas and stadiums (in the UK/Europe/Asia) and can do the pavilion tour (shout out Merriweather the GOAT) in the USA. But instead they just constantly bitch at each other. At different times they have individually considered it, with Liam, traditionally the “bad boy”, leading the way

He was especially mad that Noel couldn’t put differences aside to play after the Manchester bombing

Noel seems to not care at all, and wants to just keep going down this road, now threatening to sue if Liam uses their music in his new documentary. Just stop, man. Stop being a twat. Let us, the fans, enjoy you guys without your squabbling ruining it for all of us. It’s bad enough you haven’t been a band for the last decade, at least let Liam use the music in a documentary. Sheesh. It’s not asking much.

Maybe one day they’ll be together again. Hopefully. Until then, we’ll live on through YouTube.

So much talent, just going to waste.
