Every time I write a ski blog I say the same thing: that skiers don’t get the respect they deserve and it’s true. Extreme athletes in general are some of the most under-appreciated athletes on the planet. But skiers in particular get painted as the nerdy unathletic ‘skies’ from Johnny Tsunami and it couldn’t be further from the truth. The truth is, it takes an incredible amount of coordination and strength to go down a groomed trail at your local Nashoba Valley and these guys are carving lines down the sides of cliffs.  I can’t get over it.  And that’s not even the craziest video. Look at this stuff.

Like how is this shit not more popular? Do people not know how crazy this is? Maybe they just need the Barstool Bump. I don’t know. I haven’t been skiing in years, so I live vicariously through these people. My knees would explode if looked at a pair of skis. I keep telling myself I’m going to get back into it one day, but I don’t think I’m physically able to. Shout out to all the skiers out there. Keep making videos and I’ll keep blogging them.
