Okay, so it’s not priceless. The price for that reaction from your mom is probably like $170,000 fully loaded. I can’t imagine how that must feel to be able to give your mom that type of gift. That would never happen in my house. If I tried to give my mom a Mercedes it go way differently

Me: MOM, I GOT YOU A BRAND NEW MERCEDES

Mom: ………

Me: Do you like it?

Mom: …..I like it…..

Me: What’s wrong?

Mom: It’s too expensive

Me: But mom…I just won defensive rookie of the year!

Mom: You could get injured before your next contract. It was a very kind idea but take it back. 

Then the next day I would get a text saying that she made me an appointment with a financial advisor so I “won’t be stupid with my money”. The only thing my mom wants from me are grandchildren. They’re a LOT more expensive than a car, but that never seems to enter that discussions.
