And this, in turn, has left some of his peers nonplused — grumbling at what they see as a flimsy theory or bewildered as to why Harvard’s top astronomer won’t shut up about aliens.

“Considering an artificial origin, one possibility is that ‘Oumuamua” — pronounced Oh-mooah-mooah — “is a lightsail, floating in interstellar space as a debris from an advanced technological equipment,” Loeb wrote with his colleague Shmuel Bialy in Astrophysical Journal Letters in November — thrilling E.T. enthusiasts and upsetting the fragile orbits of space academia.

This guy Avi Loeb is a SCIENTIST(pretty big deal) from Harvard, ever heard of it? You wanna know how smart this guy is? Look at his notes

Do you know what that means? Me neither. Looks smart as fuck. Looks like something you’d see in Good Will Hunting, but it’s not about regular math. It’s alien math that proves aliens exist. If Dr Loeb says that Aliens have sent things all the way to our solar system then they fucking have. Jupiter is RIGHT there. They’re practically our neighbor. It’s like from Chicago to Evanston in cosmic distance.

Here’s the thing though…I don’t REALLY care about this fragment of a ship or whatever they think that is. How are we supposed to get excited about that when there was an alien pyramid space ship hovering over the Pentagon just in December? How indeed?
