I Think We Have Found The Best Outdoor Rink On The Planet

I’m a huge pond hockey guy. There really is no better feeling than hitting a giant open pond with the boys. Beers are flowing and you are pretending you are actually semi decent at hockey. I’m a weirdo and I love looking at pictures of outdoor rinks all over the world too. Being that it is part of my job with Spittin’ Chiclets, I have seen a lot of really, really cool outdoor rinks. But today I think we found the best.

@bradleyfriesen and @trevenlepage are the two behind this ODR. The rink was built 6,000ft up in the Mountains in Vancouver, British Columbia and is only accessible by Helicopter. I can only imagine getting to play on a rink like this.

I was up in the air at first on it. I mean, you have to take a god damn helicopter just to play a game of pond hockey. But if you have a helicopter or you are rich enough to rent one, then why the fuck wouldn’t you?

The scenery 100% makes it all worth it too. I’d probably hike up a mountain just to play on a rink like that. And by probably I mean there isn’t a chance in France I would, but I’d definitely pretend and make up a great story about the whole ordeal.

For mediocre hockey players like myself, pond hockey is the best. So shout out to these two dudes for taking it to another level.
