20 Parents Brawl In The Parking Lot After Extremely Heated 4th Grade Basketball Game

A fight between parents after a youth basketball game in Fairfax was caught on camera.

Now, the parents and young players have been expelled from their basketball league.

Fairfax police said two parents are charged with disorderly conduct following a fight outside Mariemont Junior High School after a youth league basketball game on Jan. 19.

Sure the rest of America is out here worried about the Super Bowl, but not here in Cincinnati. Mostly because the Bengals will never make a Super Bowl, which is perfectly fine with me. But, also because we have parents treating 4th grade basketball games like a Super Bowl.

And in fairness were talking about two undefeated teams, so it kind of was the Super Bowl out here for Mariemont and West Cleremont.

How about the 911 caller though? You want to talk about calm under pressure. No screaming, no quick talking, you would have thought he was simply calling his friend to make dinner plans. Surprised he didn’t start the call with a ‘yeah, what’s going on? Ah, not much. Just got a little brouhaha out here.’ I need that guy to be around me at all times just to calm me down.

What I really need to know here is the kid involved. Clearly he was a player in this clash of undefeateds and decided to jump on in. I give him credit, kid has some balls to get involved as a 4th grader as your parents are scrapping. Some resilience on that kid to get knocked down and get right back up. That’s how your team ends up undefeated.

The real star though? The guy sliding in at the end:

He doesn’t miss a beat. The slide is perfect and gets up without missing a step. It almost looks fake. I need to know more about him.

Lowkey my favorite thing is that the league has to have monitors at the schools to help prevent instances like this. There were 45 ejections last year! That’s outrageous.
