The Only Thing Sexier Than Kentucky's Game Is Brad Calipari's Outfit

I know a couple of things in this world. I know that you never rule out a John Calipari coached team in November and I know you can always expect some downright sex appeal from a Calipari outfit on the sidelines. What I didn’t expect was this to be Brad Calipari stealing the damn show last night with the mob/Night at the Roxbury crossover. Either way it’s working and probably part of the reason as to why Kentucky looks like a national title contender again.

Let’s get into last night real quick. What we saw was continued growth by Kentucky. After one of the ugliest first halves and especially the first 10 minutes offensively, Kentucky never let Kansas run away. We then saw where Reid Travis is valuable. I’ve been bitching about him for a month now because he does struggle against athletic bigs. However, against someone like Dedric Lawson where Travis can use his strength to bully around the rim, he’s so important to this team. That happened.

Outside of Travis we’re continuing to see PJ Washington’s growth. When PJ is Kentucky’s best player, Kentucky is going to win. He’s becoming a mismatch with his ability to defend both traditional posts or someone like Marcus Garrett, who wants to attack from the wing. More importantly he can stretch the floor a bit offensively and is able to run the hi-lo with Travis and keep the lane spread.

If you’re a Kentucky hater, you should be scared. Going 3-0 against ranked teams in a week. Ashton Hagans, Keldon Johnson and Tyler Herro all getting more confident. Nick Richards becoming one of the best shot blockers in the country. Brad Calipari intimidating the shit out of you on the bench. Boo.
