Sansa Stark is overdue for a shower.

If you ever wondered how the cast of “Game of Thrones” made themselves look so authentically grizzled and greasy on screen, the secret is that all that dirt is all too real.

In an interview with InStyle, Sophie Turner, who plays the eldest Stark daughter on the HBO show, revealed that Westeros can actually be a pretty stinky place.

“For the first few seasons I was allowed to wash my hair because I was an aristocratic young girl,” the 22-year-old actress explained, “but toward season five they started asking me to not wash my hair and it was really disgusting.”

As a noted stupid person, I do not understand how girls go days without washing their hair. I think it’s weird Feits will go weeks without shampooing his hair, but I guess there’s a science behind it. Now as a 25 year old guy who is seeing his hair fade away every day, I guess I don’t have a leg to stand on when questioning how to take care of one’s locks, but this is crazy. Sansa Stark, played by Sophie Turner, wasn’t allowed to wash her hair while filming Thrones for the middle seasons. Not once. She had to maintain the authentic look during the middle seasons and they didn’t want to give her a wig and take away the effect. They film these seasons consecutively so I’m scared to know the longest she’s gone without a wash. Think about all the crazy scenes they film with fake snow and everything. Yeah, all that shit is just chilling in your hair and you can’t do anything about it. YIKES.

When I’m home on the weekends I’ll sometimes go a day without a shower since I don’t leave my bed and just watch TV. I feel gross the next day and immediately jump in the shower. To go weeks, maybe months without washing my hair would drive me absolutely insane. You go to scratch your head and fake snow falls out. I’d lose my mind. I wouldn’t be able to go out in public. How could you? Well, the answer is half a million an episode, folks. I’ll do absolutely anything for half a million per episode. I’ll shave my head, jump off a roof, get shot by a real life bow and arrow for $500,00 an episode. Now that she can rock a wig while filming it looks like her hair survived this ordeal. Would it kill for a quick nude scene in the final season?
