Hockey Games Are Infinitely Better When Snoop Dogg Is Doing The Play-By-Play Announcing
As a well-respected journalist in the biz, I am simply here to present the facts to all of you. And even though I may be a large Hockey Guy, the fact remained that something has still been missing from the game. Fortunately for the entire world, that void was filled last night when the LA Kings brought Snoop Dee Oh Double Gee into the broadcast booth to grace the world with the play-by-play call. And it was nothing short of magical.
Hockey fans in America have long had the belief that Doc Emrick is the best play-by-play in the business and he has an incredible way with words. But until Doc Emrick breaks out a “Oh come on, nephew!!!” after a shot gets ruined by a broken twig, I don’t even want to hear an argument–Snoop Dogg is the best there is.
“Oh he’s throwin’ on ‘em! He’s firing on Cuz! Hold on now…”
“Get it crackin’ then, let’s go!”
“Number 3 want it, I like that. Who is number 3 for us?”
Snoop Dogg was a play-by-play announcer for one night and he’s already blessed the hockey world with some of the greatest calls we’ve ever heard. I know he had a lucratively successful career in the rap game but I firmly believe that Snoop was born to call hockey games.
