The Bulls Committ To Boylen For 2019-20...Kinda? Whatever, #FireGarPax

WOJBOMB! Kind of. This was rumored when the Bulls made the switch mid-year from Hoiberg to Jim Boylen. The Bulls giving Boylen a salary bump is a vote of confidence from GarPax. Which is, of course, strike one against Boylen. If GarPax likes you then something is wrong. Strike two was probably when the entire team tried to quit and had a full blown mutiny. So now Boylen has a raise, but he’s got two strikes. Bad look.

This is probably a signal to the guys in the locker room that mutinies better be a thing of the past. They just got SMOKED by Golden State. Publicly giving Boylen a bump is a signal to everyone on the team right now that they better fly straight and the inmates aren’t going to run the asylum.

Woj made it pretty clear that the Bulls still leave themselves an out with this deal. However, more likely than not the entire leadership team will be in place for 2019-20. The team will continue to be sideshow circus in Chicago. Which sucks because the Bulls have a nice young core and a chance to land Zion or Barrett. The team will continue to disappoint until Uncle Jerry finally decides to clean house(or dies, whichever comes first).
