I mean sure Markus Howard dropping a 50 burger on you is another way to lose 106-104 in overtime. But, let’s focus on this for a second. The ending to the game was absolutely bonkers – not to mention this game was absolutely awesome. Marquette made a layup with less than a second to go to cut the lead to 3. Okay, no problem. Just get the ball inbounds and no matter what happens you win. Well, Creighton overthought it a bit and made the long pass. Remember this is college basketball. Dumb mistakes happen so obviously they overthrew it.

Then this happened. Why would Markus Howard inbound the ball? I’m sure that was a question asked. Instead the pass went to the taller Sam Hauser who just drilled the three despite a lengthy review.

This game was absolutely awesome. The second half was up and down, a ton of threes with Markus Howard in an absolute rhythm for Marquette. Creighton actually did a good job in forcing him into turnovers. He just couldn’t fucking miss.
