Report: Yankees are Out on Manny Machado, Race Down To White Sox and Phillies

I was told as recently as yesterday that the Yankees FO was completely split on Manny Machado and lowballed him on a prelim offer in both years/money.  Basically a take it/leave it offer that Hal Steinbrenner refused to budge from.

And before anyone questions the validity of Hector Gomez – he broke the Castillo and Cano PED suspensions and has never been wrong.  He’s connected and trustworthy.

Every day we inch closer to Manny being a member of the White Sox and a nice, healthy period of ‘sustained success’.

Don’t lose to Philly twice in the same week, Chicago…
