Jonathan Joseph Called TY Hilton A Clown This Week So TY Hilton Showed Up To The Game In A Clown Mask
(Houston Chronicle) – Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton has made himself quite comfortable at NRG Stadium over the years.
Hilton caught nine passes for 199 yards during a 24-21 victory on Dec. 9 at the home of the Texans. Afterward, Hilton called NRG his “second home.”
“Nah, man, that’s for clowns,” Joseph said. “That’s for TV. That’s what they do. You put something in their face, anybody can say it.”
In two games against the Texans this season, Hilton has totaled 13 receptions and 314 yards. And Hilton hasn’t been shy about pointing out his individual dominance.
“Sounds good, it’s easily said,” Joseph said. “I could easily say that, too. We could call the division our division since I’ve been here, last five out of eight years. It’s not our first rodeo, so we’ll be ready.”
These guys have been long time been good pals so I’m surprised to see so much hostility bubble up prior to division rivals squaring off in a do-or-die playoff game like this. It feels wildly uncharacteristic for these two to have bad blood between them.
So strange. Oh well, hard not to respect the move from TY here. It’s not like he was just running his mouth for the sake of running his mouth. 314 yards over 13 receptions in two games is absurd and has nothing to do with talking. That’s pure action. So Joseph’s whole point kind of, yanno, stinks out loud. If anyone should be talking it’s TY. I don’t care if the Texans win that division more often in the years Andrew Luck’s shoulder was detached. His team covers TY about as well as I do. So Hilton showing up in a clown mask has me completely changing my pick. I want to back Deshaun. I believe in the Nuk and the Texans defensive line as well. But what I’m not about to do is pick against this guy.
Not today. Not ever*. Colts by 100.
*Until they’re playing the Patriots.
