Why I'm Betting On The Bears Today
In case your Sunday Scaries hadn’t set in yet be sure to watch the full video of that tiny cub struggling on the precipice of an icy ravine while his mom nervously watches on. My heart was racing. I stumbled across it while drinking my coffee this morning & it had me on the edge of my LaZBoy. It also made me think… is it some sort of sign about bears…? Huh, bears, bears, bears… think Kate…
The Bears!
Wow. This is kind of an analogy for the Bears (4-3) if you think about it and are willing to really, like realllly stretch & humor me here. Not particularly explosive off the bat and a lot of ups & downs. They’ll make you anxious the whole game, but I believe they’ll still get it done against the Bills even without Kyle Long.
The mamma bear at the top? Matt Nagy. A former QB & offensive coordinator, he’s done a great job leading the way & picking some creative routes.
The cub? Trubisky. With each attempt he’s gotten better & stronger, he’s not afraid to run & he keeps his head up. He & the offensive line can get over the hump (and recent loss slump) even if it’s not the smoothest.
Defensively if the Bears have got a return of the (Khalil) Mack (heyyyo!) the Bills are in even more trouble. Without him there’s bound to be fewer sacks but even then they’ll hold their own & won’t let the team fall off.
If this were a baby Buffalo Bill (2-6) it’d already have too much momentum from going downhill for so long & it’d be too worn down from the toughest starting schedule in the NFL to get back up. I’d expect it to get intercepted by a hawk or something (shout out Nathan Peterman, heh heh) or just completely avalanched.
Overall I’m taking the Bears 34 – 7 & it’s all because of a Twitter video, wild. (Oh and because the Bills just suck.)
Alright, that’s my hot analysis for today. Enjoy the games!
