Source - Horsham, UK – An armed robber has been sent to prison for 14 years after a string of offences earlier this year. Owen Smith, 29, unemployed of no fixed address pleaded guilty on August 30 at Hove Crown Court to assault by beating a police constable, possession of an offensive weapon, namely a baseball bat, robbery and taking a police vehicle without consent. He was sentenced at Hove Crown Court on Tuesday (October 30). 

I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt in these types of situations, but these two cops are making it tough. Really tough. I mean, all they had to do was pull out theirs gun and shoot him in the gut and it’s over. Instead, they fled from the scene in reverse, stopped, and then waited for the guy to open the door and throw them from the car. They didn’t even think to lock the doors to prevent him from getting in. It’s like they had zero training whatsoever to the point where I thought they were mall security guards.

To be completely honest, I feel bad for them. They had to be rescued by the very people they were sent to protect. Luckily, those people just so happened to be bravest people on the planet. One guy literally dove over the door to stop the getaway.

What a hero. Those two cops should give him their next paycheck.
