Nikola Jokic Starts A New Rivalry Saying That Shaq Can't Come Close To Defending Him

Love Nikola Jokic here. Shoot your shit, big man. I mean obviously there’s a hint of sarcasm here, but I’m all for him calling out Shaq saying he can’t guard him. I mean who knows? Shaq would stuff him at the rim, there’s not a lot of doubt about that. But, Jokic has a bunch of moves. He can create space and he’s just a different type of player than what Shaq was used to guarding.

That’s not to sell Shaq short either. He’s way more athletic than most people remember. He was a great defender. I actually want to see this happen despite knowing it’s impossible. I want to see Shaq at his prime defense vs Jokic. It’d be fantastic.

More importantly, I love how he’s gassed up about Chuck loving his game. Put him in Chuck’s corner during the Chuck/Shaq debates. That’s a dangerous 1-2 combo, you never know what a big man from Serbia is capable of. Let’s just keep this going. I want this to be a thing.
