Tom Wilson Will Serve His Full 20 Game Suspension

You know what, that’s fine. I am shocked he didn’t get fewer games though because I feel that’s always what happens when someone appeals a suspension. They go, they say their side, and then Bettman takes a few games off. Sort of like a lesser jail sentence for good behavior. This time though, nothing. Nothing at all. And I get it. We’ve talked about how the NHL needed to make an example out of Willy. Needed to lay down the law. This move is probably half PR, half Bettman sending a message, but it is what it is. Also, the defense for Tom Wilson at the hearing…not great!

You never want to defend yourself by saying “but in my defense, his head was right there”. Tough look.

So some good news- Game 21 this season is the Wednesday before Thanksgiving in DC. Better believe I’ll be there. It’s going to be awesome.
