We Got Behind The Back Goals Being Scored In The KHL
Goals like this aren’t scored every day. And goals like this certainly aren’t scored by nobodies, yet it was. This behind the back goal was scored by Alexander Kadeykin of Ufa Salavat Yulayev in the KHL. Kadeykin blocked a shot at his own blue line, had all the time in the world, and pulled off the incredible move.
Kadeykin was a 7th round pick of the Detroit Red Wings in the 2014 entry draft. And before you go saying “well why isn’t he playing for the Red Wings, they suck”. Well, Kadeykin kind of sucks too. The guy has never scored over 10 goals in the KHL in seven years in the league. Even Ryan Whitney, who played defense and was playing on bum ankles, put up 6 goals in a KHL season. The most Kadeykin has ever got? 8. So he isn’t exactly Pavel Datsyuk.
So how did he pull of this move you ask? I mean, there is only one explanation and that is the Russian Gas. We joke about the Russian Gas on twitter and on the podcast but we joke about it because it is actually a thing and people use it over there all the time. Whitney said he was absolutely buzzzzzzing when he took the Russian Gas during his time playing in Sochi. Said he felt like he was good enough to play in the league again.
Imagine how much Russian Gas this guy pumped into his body to pull something like this off? Also….does anyone know where one can acquire some Russian Gas? I think it would do me wonders. I vote we do an entire podcast on the Russian Gas.
