The Cavs Have Found A Replacement For Their Superstar That Left For The Lakers, And I Approve!
Last month I wrote a really good blog about how the Cavs sideline reporter, Allie Clifton, decided to head to Los Angeles and cover the Lakers. It was a devastating blow to the entire Cavs organization, as we will all certainly miss Allie’s keen insight into the sport of basketball on the sidelines during each game.
Allie did a fantastic job, but like LeBron James, she decided that she was too big for the hardworking, blue collar city of Cleveland. She decided that she needed to take the next step in her life, and she needed to leave winning behind to focus more on the entertainment side of the business. Like I said earlier, when you are more interested in non-basketball related businesses than the product you put on the court, you move to LA. Allie, we wish you the best in your off-the-court endeavors in LA. Good luck. You’ve earned it.
Unfortunately, the departure of Allie Clifton has left a huge void in the Cavs organization. Without finding the right person to fill in the gap, the Cavs may take a huge step backwards this year. However, news broke today that the Cavs have found their missing piece. And I must say, I do like their choice. Everyone please join me in welcoming Cayleigh Griffin to the Cleveland Cavaliers!
Cayleigh is a 2014 graduate of Providence College. She has been a freelance reporter/analyst since 2015. And most recently, she has been the sideline reporter and pregame co-host of the San Antonio Spurs. That’s right folks! We stole her from the most knowledgeable organization in the NBA, the Spurs!
Can’t wait to have you on the sidelines this year, Cayleigh! If you need anyone to help with your move into Cleveland, please know that I am always here to lend a helping hand. I’m excited to see what secrets you can bring over from San Antonio to help the 4x defending Eastern Conference Champions get over the hump this year!
