I'm Just Thrilled To See The Golden State Warriors Catching A Much Deserved Break To Start This Season

Phew, I’ll tell you what. You have to be happy for the Golden State Warriors. That’s a team and franchise that really needs to catch a break. They truly haven’t gotten lucky enough or been good enough to not catch a break like this. And sure it’s just game 1 of 82 games and people will say it won’t matter, but you just never know how crazy a season can get. Maybe the Warriors fall to the No. 3 seed in the West this year instead of No. 2 like last year.

So now you have Russell Westbrook missing game 1. You have Steven Adams as questionable. Good thing is they aren’t that important to the Thunder or what the Thunder like to use against the Warriors. More importantly it means we get Paul George option No. 1 vs the Warriors on a night where the Warriors are celebrating their title from last year. Nothing can go wrong there.

Truthfully, I’m just thrilled to see the Warriors continuing to get lucky. I mean you get lucky the first time around that the Timberwolves drafted 83 point guards in the 1st round and not one was named Steph Curry. You got lucky that Klay Thompson (who really might be the most underrated player in the NBA) fell to No. 11 in the Draft – exactly one pick behind Jimmer. You get lucky that Draymond falls to the second round. You get lucky that you sign Kevin Durant. You get lucky that you’re probably going to have DeMarcus Cousins for the playoffs this year. Luckily they get one more break. Like I said it’s much deserved and needed for the Warriors.
