Ravens Sack The Titans To Death 21-0

11 sacks. ELEVEN!!!

My goodness, what an asskicking through and through. Generally if you rack up 11 sacks, you can take it to the bank that you’re getting a W. But that doesn’t really encapsulate how dominating this win was in all facets of the game. The Ravens were firing on all cylinders in every possible way. The offense had themselves a very solid day, converting 12 of 17 first downs and keeping their defense off the field and well rested. They converted in the red zone and got the ball in the end zone. Pretty much every statistic you can think of the Ravens dominated.

First downs? Ravens 23, Titans 7.

Yards gained? Ravens 361, Titans 106.

Time of Possession? Ravens 37:34, Titans 22:26.

The only thing they really failed to win was the turnover battle, and even that was questionable as Flacco’s late first half INT wasn’t even reviewed when it pretty clearly hit the turf.

Obviously, to a degree today was about the Titans just playing like pure garbage. It’s very possible that that team stinks. But at the very least, you gotta be encouraged by the way the Ravens took care of business on the road against a team that won a playoff game last year. It was a great response to an embarrassing showing in Cleveland last week. I’m far more inclined that the performance we saw today and in Pittsburgh two weeks ago is much closer to the Ravens’ true identity than what we saw in Cleveland.

This is a special defense, no doubt about it. Zero touchdowns allowed in the 2nd half through 6 weeks. Average of 2.0 points allowed per game in the 2nd half. That’s just insane.

Titans? Not so much.

Tough 3 game road stretch finishes at 2-1. All in all, can’t hate that result. Back into a tie for 1st place in an AFC North division race that’s really starting to heat up. Time to come home and face a true offensive test against the Saints. Love where this team is headed. 11 sacks!!!
