Why Were There No NHL Games Yesterday?
As I sit here on my couch and watch two of the fourteen NHL games today, I can’t help but think, why wasn’t there a single NHL game yesterday? The NHL has 14 games scheduled today/tonight and didn’t have a single one planned for yesterday. Just another example of the NHL being run by a bunch or morons.
Today, the NHL is going up against college football, in which there are a ton of great games on the slate, and the ALCS, which is definitely the more popular of the two championship series this year. Last night, the Dodgers and Brewers played in game 1 of the NLCS and was really the only thing for sports fans to watch. Obviously, the season is scheduled long before the ALCS and NLCS are decided, but isn’t this something that could have been anticipated just a little? I mean, you can 1000% anticipate that college football is going to absolutely smash you in the ratings. So why put all your eggs in that basket?
Forget the fact of who they are going up against for a second, why the fuck would the NHL even think it’s a good idea to take an entire Friday night off from play? That is moronic, the season just started. I mean, maybe there is a reason behind it and no one decided to tell me, but what an idiotic move.
The season is just getting going and starting to pick up steam, we are seeing highlight reel goals every night and yet the NHL think it’s a good idea to take the night off. Sheesh. Be better, NHL.
