The New Trailer For 'CREED II' Is As Good A Trailer As You Could Ever Imagine
Sir, excuse me, quick question: what the fuck? How did you do that? That’s the single most impressive athletic accomplishment I’ve ever laid eyes on. No human being should be able to do that. Onto the rest of the trailer now…
I meant what I said in my headline. I think this is up there with the best movie trailers I’ve ever seen, legitimately. The Dark Knights, Force Awakens, and Watchmens of the world. True heavy hitters. The ingredients that add up to put this trailer (which, fuck it – SURE, I may have some recency bias for) in that upper echelon are simple, too.
Music? Perfect. We’ve got ‘Inception’ BWWWOOOAAAMMM’s mixed with DMX. Literally the only thing that could’ve improved upon that is maybe John Williams also doing a score in the trailer, but that would’ve jumbled things up, I bet.
Story advancement? Adonis Creed is about to fight the son of the guy who killed his father in a boxing ring. On top of that, his trainer and father’s best friend is dying of cancer, his girlfriend has now become his baby mama, and her hearing is still deteriorating – thereby slowly putting her music dreams out of their misery. Oh, and everyone around him is terrified because he doesn’t give a shit about anything but fighting. I don’t think the stakes he could ever, in a billion years, get higher.
And the visuals?

Part of me was worried about this flick, because of how phenomenal the first ‘CREED’ was, mixed with the fact that Ryan Coogler’s hands aren’t on this one, but after this trailer, I have to agree with Luke Thomas of MMAFighting.com…
I think we’re headed towards a sequel one-upping its original, folks. And I can’t fucking wait.
