Swaggy P Obstructs Justice and Unfortunately That Is Illegal

NBA star Nick Young — aka Swaggy P — was arrested in Hollywood late Friday night after an incident during a traffic stop with police … TMZ Sports has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us the former Golden State Warriors star was pulled over just before midnight for a routine traffic violation when something went wrong.

We’re told the 33-year-old refused to cooperate with the officers on scene, and so he was arrested for obstruction of justice.

Not sure if Swaggy P, who is no stranger to run-ins with the police, was trying to make some sort of anti-law enforcement statement here, but the alleged word on the street is that this whole ordeal may have begun when he simply refused to produce his license and registration. I won’t get into the politics of it because this is Barstool SPORTS, but this obviously is not a very good look for a free agent looking for a job. If he can’t produce an ID during a traffic stop, how can he produce in the 4th quarter? If he does not respect authority enough to cooperate with police, what is going to happen when his coach gives him orders? And if he can’t cooperate with law enforcement, how can he cooperate with his teammates? Lots of questions here for Swaggy, including what will happen during his September 19th court date.

The good news for Nick, should this case go sour, is that President Trump has been very pardon friendly. He even has shown a kind heart for basketball players, as he single handedly freed LiAngelo Ball from life in prison in China. The bad news for Nick is that he was on the Warriors team that declined their unextended invite to the White House this year after their NBA Championship. Will Trump let his ego affect his decision making with this one? Eh, it could go either way.
