Shirtless Florida Guy Casually Rides Down The Highway Steering Motorcycle With His Feet
Source - While driving on southbound 95 near Jacksonville on Saturday, a woman and her son spotted a man reclining on his bike, steering with his bare feet, looking completely calm and relaxed. The man wore neither a shirt not a helmet (as per Florida law, helmets are not required for people who carry at least $10,000 in medical insurance coverage).
To the untrained eye this may seem impressive, but it’s not. Motorcycles are actually hard to crash on the highway. The faster you go the more stable they are. So let’s not pretend this is some talented stuntman. That doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s a ballsy move because it is. Especially when you understand what the potential consequences are.
If he were to fall at that speed he’d be skinned alive. I crashed my motorcycle going five miles per hour and you could almost see the bones in my hands. The most dangerous part of the whole stunt is his right leg controlling the throttle. Which becomes incredible sensitive at highway speeds not in terms of acceleration but in terms of deceleration. If his leg were to slip off the handle bars he’d slow down like a boat in water. The whole bike would settle, the steering would loosen up, and it’d only be a matter of time until he went down.
But enough about that. At the end of the day he looks like a bad ass and that’s all that matters. Hopefully he put this on the gram and got a few followers out of it. Although judging from the Doomsday Prepper style rucksack and carefree attitude I doubt he’s that big into social media.
