Man Weighs, Sells Weed Off Back Of Marked NYPD Cop Car

Yesterday the NewYorkCityUncut Instagram page posted a video with a man weighing out about 4 grams of marijuana on the back of an NYPD cop car in Bushwick, Brooklyn. That’s a pretty bold move that sort of reminded me of this seagull.

The NY Post transcribed the convo & I can’t tell if the whole thing was just staged for Instagram or not.

“Yo, you want an eighth?” The alleged “dealer” says, referring to one eighth of an ounce.

“Yeah I want an eighth bro,” the cameraman is heard replying. “That’s three point six for you,” the marijuana handler replies, pointing to the pile of nearly four grams of weed.

“Three point six for me? Awwww yeah bro, you f–k with me bro,” the supposed “customer” replies to what he considers a good deal.

“I gotchu,” the “dealer” responds, with a cigarette dangling from his mouth. The videographer then turns the camera away from the seemingly illicit scene and says, “Yo, lets get the f–k out of here!”

Again, not sure what the deal is because who’d want to be openly filmed doing that? Do I sound like a rule-following dork? (Pretty much.) The laws are way less strict than they used to be but there still could have been consequences. According to, let’s be honest here, the Wikipedia page for Cannabis in NYC:

-Possession of less than 25 grams (0.88 oz) of marijuana, in any form, is unlawful possession of marijuana, punishable by a fine of no more than $100 if the defendant has no convictions for the offense within the last three years.

-If the marijuana is burning or in public view, no matter the amount it is fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor, carrying a possible three-month sentence.

The person credited with the video, David Jimenez Jr., looks like he does film shoots, etc. in the city and the dialogue sounded a little forced, so I’m leaning towards staged. Either way, still seems like a ballsy move.
