On This #PlayLaxDay It Is Very Important To Remember That Chris Hogan Did, In Fact, Used To Play Lacrosse
So according to the internet, today is “Play Lax Day”. I’m not entirely sure what that means or what it entails or who even came up with it. Quite frankly, I’m a little peeved that nobody ran this idea by me ahead of time. But that’s neither here nor there. Because if it is Play Lax Day, then it is the perfect time for everybody to gather around and allow me to tell them a story. It’s a story of love, it’s a story of laughter, it has some ups, some downs, and in the end I think we can all learn a thing or two about ourselves. It is, of course, the story of Chris Hogan…
By now everybody knows Chris Hogan, the wide receiver for the New England Patriots. The 30-year-old has spent 7 seasons in the National Football League with 5 different teams. He was first signed and released by a few different teams before finding a home with the Buffalo Bills for 3 seasons. Eventually we would find himself in New England to play for Bill Belichick and the Patriots. He would go on to win a Super Bowl with the Pats and would go on to lose another Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles by a score of 41-33. Many people forget that the Eagles won Super Bowl LII, but not me and certainly not Chris Hogan.
However, what if I told you that Chris Hogan wasn’t just a Super Bowl winning and Super Bowl losing receiver for the New England Patriots. What if I told you that Chris Hogan was actually much, much more than that. What if I told you that Chris Hogan… was actually a former lacrosse player….
Now I know that this may come as a shock to some of you. Trust me, I found it hard to believe at first as well. But after doing my due diligence as an investigative reporter, I feel that I have uncovered enough hard evidence to prove the fact that Chris Hogan, receiver for the Patriots, was once a star lacrosse player. At the collegiate level. You see, it all starts when you Google, “Chris Hogan lacrosse”. When you do, this is one of the images that pops up.
That right there is former Penn State lacrosse player Chris Hogan. Now I know what you’re thinking to yourself. Big whoop. Chris Hogan is a pretty generic name. I’m sure this is purely coincidence and that’s just a different guy named Chris Hogan who just so happened to play lacrosse at Penn State. But when you dig a little deeper, you’ll see that this Chris Hogan was at Penn State by way of Ramapo High School in New Jersey.
The significance of this? Well Ramapo High School just so happens to be the exact high school that Chris Hogan, the receiver for the New England Patriots, attended. And this lacrosse playing Chris Hogan also just so happened to graduate the same year that football Chris Hogan would have graduated. So unless there were two Chris Hogans at the same school who graduated in the same class, I believe I can rest my case.
Chris Hogan, current wide receiver on the New England Patriots, actually used to play lacrosse. And now we have the cold hard evidence to back it up.
