One Of The Youngest Members Of #TeamMcGregor Has A MASSIVE Fight At Bellator 204 Tonight

Ladies and gentlemen, here at Team McGregor, we have a saying…

“If one of us goes to war, we all go to war.”

Tonight, one of us is going to war, and if you’re on the team, you’ll be going to war with us.

Undefeated 21-year-old James Gallagher, who trains out of Straight Blast Gym under Coach John Kavanaugh, will be stepping into the cage against Ricky Bandejas at Bellator 204 in just a few hours, and with a win he’ll become the Bantamweight Championship #1 contender. Not only that, but he’s been promised his title shot would be contested in his home country of Ireland. Soooooooo yeah, big stakes.

This will be Gallagher’s first bout at 135lbs, as he’s regularly fought at Featherweight, and the current Bellator Bantamweight Champion is moving up to 145lbs tonight in a non-title main event versus Noad Lahat. Gallagher claims he’s running, and who am I to argue that?

To give you a little background on young James, he dropped out of high school at just fifteen years old to start training at SBG, and quickly befriended another young fighter by the name of Conor McGregor.

Gallagher started working his way up the Bellator ranks after picking up a few wins bouncing around the circuit, as a submission specialist, and just recently at Madison Square Garden, he choked out Chinzo Machida in the very first round…

You can tell Conor has rubbed off on him a ton, as his mannerisms, trash talk, wardrobe, and even his tattoos are very reminicent of the Champ Champ, but it’s absolutely adorable. It honestly reminds me of how I am with my older brother. I think he’s the coolest person in the world, still, and try to be like him all the time. I think James sees Conor in that same way, but I digress. Tonight’s not about Conor. Tonight’s about THE STRABANIMAL.

Bellator 204’s main card starts at 9pm EST/8pm Central on the Paramount Network. See you there.

EIRE!
