Myself And Uncle Chaps Are Happy To Announce It Is Officially Pumpkin SZN

August 14th, 2014. I ask if it’s too early for pumpkin beer. I decide no, it is not too early for pumpkin beers, because they are delicious.

Fast forward 3 years…

As if by fate, 3 years later to the day, Chaps independently decides August 14th is the beginning of Pumpkin SZN. 365 days in the year, and Chaps and I, 3 years apart, felt deep down in our plums that August 14th is the day Fall begins. Summer is OVER!!!! Pull out your flannels, start planning your haunted hay rides, and start loading up on Oktoberfests and Pumpkin ales. Tis the most wonderful time of the year, mi amigos.

Don’t listen to the detractors that say “it’s too early” because all you’ll be doing is a disservice to yourself. As my Uncle Chaps once said, “The haters will be all over me calling me such pejoratives as basic, white girl, and even things that deal with my private sexual preference. Truth be known, the pumpkin is actually a superfood and therefore good. Dab.” Amen, UC.

So if they offer a cinnamon rim on your glass, oh baby, go for it. If the beer label says “includes cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg” pick up that 6 pack with no regret. Enjoy yourself, because Pumpkin SZN comes but once a year. And it has officially begun.
