Dez Bryant Will Meet With The Browns Tomorrow Not Because He's Desperate, But Because He Knows How To Play The Game

Dez Bryant is officially meeting with the Browns on Thursday, which means unless the receiver has a change of heart, come Friday, Bryant will be a Brown.
Naturally there’s a lot of shit being talked about Dez being SOOOO desperate for a job, he’s willing to take one with a team whose phone calls he ignored for a bit.
But how about instead of desperation, this was all a part of the plan? Maybe it’s possible that Dez didn’t jump at the chance to be on a team that has ONE win over the past two years. It’s also possible he was waiting to see if there were any injuries to big time receivers on other teams. He wasn’t passing on a 9 hoping a 10 was still out there, he was passing on a 2 hoping a 7 was still out there.
But so far, no dice, so off to Cleveland he goes, to the land of receivers who just can’t get their shit together, or in the case of Josh Gordon, are trying to get their shit together.

Despite the fact he hasn’t played in three years, Josh Gordon is nowhere to be seen. He says his absence from training camp is a “part of my overall health and treatment plan,” and that he’s doing well physically. The latter I can definitely confirm.
Then of course you have Antonio Callaway, who was pulled over for driving without a license and possession of marijuana, while casually having bullets sprinkled throughout his console. But at least he apologized to the entire team, so he has that going for him.
It’s no wonder John Dorsey is clamoring for Dez! It doesn’t matter if his player personnel strategist, Andrew Healy, leaves Bryant off his wide receivers list, Dorsey will fight for his man.
Dorsey glances at the list: “You don’t have Dez Bryant on here.”
Healy: “No, he’s there on the bottom and Dez, you know Dez. Basically he’s 30 and not…”
Dorsey interrupts.
“He’s 29.”
“29.7,” says Healy.
“To be exact,” said Dorsey.
You know you’re in love when you’re clinging on to a .3 difference. “She’s not a ho, she’s just… experienced.”
Good for Dez, I hope he finds the long-term contract the Ravens didn’t offer him.
