Brian Kemp, Republican Candidate For Governor In Georgia, Is An OUTRAGEOUS Human

NY Times- The Republican won the nomination Tuesday after branding himself a politically incorrect conservative who would “round up criminal illegals” and haul them to the border in his very own pickup. The Democrat all but opened her campaign by demanding that the iconic carvings of Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson be sandblasted off Stone Mountain.

Almost overnight, Georgia’s captivating governor’s race between Brian Kemp and Stacey Abrams has taken on the dimensions of a defining moment, one that will, regardless of outcome, determine what the state represents and how it is perceived.

Ms. Abrams, 44, a brainy Yale Law graduate from Atlanta, has leveraged the prospect of becoming the country’s first female African-American governor to nationalize her campaign and its fund-raising. By contrast, Mr. Kemp, 54, is a drawling agri-businessman from Athens who has revived a populist style that has lain dormant in Georgia since the late 1960s. Both campaigns say they are committed to maximizing turnout by their most rabid supporters rather than moderating in order to broaden their appeal to centrists and independents.

“I got a big truck, just in case I need to round up criminal illegals and take ‘em home myself. Yup, I just said that.” This ad came out a couple months ago, but the race has really heated up as we now have two defined candidates for Governor of Georgia. In the left corner, a black woman with a Yale law degree who wants to tear down confederate statues and raise taxes. In the right corner, a dude with a shotgun who speaks so slowly that he might be on quaaludes. His ads are fucking incredible. Brian Kemp leans into his brand with a VENGEANCE. He’s targeting a specific type of voter, and he wants the rest of the voters to know they can go fuck themselves. Can’t blame him for flip-flopping!

Then there’s this one, which might be even better:

I recognize that “Jake” is probably not interested in Kemp’s daughter and is instead a local youth actor from some theater camp whose mission statement is “STRICTLY NO GAYS ALLOWED. Now express yourself!” But in the unlikely event that Jake was actually chosen for this ad because he’s been trying to source an under-the-bleachers, over-the-pants handy from Kemp’s little girl, I say good luck. Seems like he’s making quite an impression if the dude is actually featuring him in political ads. Sure, he’s facing the business end of a shotgun, but it’s all for show! Kemp is a softie at heart, and Jake clearly supports his policies on gun control and immigration. Not that he has a choice.

“Two things that you need to date one of my daughters: respect, and a healthy appreciation of the second amendment.” Imagine meeting the dad of a girl you want to date, and he gives you the pep talk and includes that you’d better support the 2nd amendment? Hahaha I love it. I can just picture Coach Taylor telling Matt Saracen, after walking in on him with Julie, that “women deserve to be respected. Also, those liberals are tryna take yer guns. Don’t let ‘em.” What a stipulation! I’m not a big gun guy but if Jeff Hornacek told me I couldn’t date his daughter unless I started packing heat, I’d be willing to realign my beliefs right quick.

During the Georgia republican gubernatorial primary, Kemp was challenged by a guy named Casey Cagle. Here’s an ad HE ran:

lol. You gotta love it. I’m not sure who fired the first gunshot (and by that, I mean which man decided to display shotguns in his ads first), but CLEARLY they both love it. Cagle and Kemp rely heavily on the prop. If only the elections were decided by duel.
