We Have All Been Dwyane Wade And Jimmy Butler

You know, it’s not often I can say I have something in relation to two ridiculous NBA stars, but this is one of those rare situations. We have ALL been Wade and Butler here. If you’ve ever attended a middle school dance, a bar or bat mitzvah, a wedding, you have without a doubt screamed this song at the top of your lungs. When this song came out in 1997, a young Greenie was just 10 years old but learned very quickly once he got to middle school that this was the quickest way to hand holding you’d ever seen. Then once bar/bat mitzvah season hit at 13, oh boy. You hear that piano intro and you knew it was go time. If you want to tell me your around my age of 31 and your first slow dance wasn’t to this song you’re a terrible liar.

This also isn’t the first time we’ve seen Jimmy Butler show off his singing skills. You all remember poor Melo on that Team USA flight a few years ago

So it doesn’t surprise me to see him breaking down some quality K-Ci & JoJo. I can’t even lie as I wrote this blog I pulled up the song and sang the whole time. Just an ultimate classic throwback song to remind me of a simpler time where I was just trying to not get a boner while playing Coke & Pepsi with my 13 year old crush.
