Yes, I Am 100% Aware That Me Going Viral For Other Places Than Barstool Is The Most Smitty Thing Ever

Almost 900K views. Let’s. Jam. A quick check down the Barstool Sports YouTube rabbit hole shows a handful of videos with more action. A Pres pizza review that went batshit on reddit. A Tyler Seguin cribs adventure. Jen Selter’s 2013 booty. So, yeah, 900K views on any video that you create, edit, and put out to the public is absolutely nothing to sneeze at…

EXCEPT WHEN IT GOES VIRAL ON A PLATFORM OTHER THAN BARSTOOL SPORTS.

Here is the video that was sniped off the Barstool Gametime YouTube channel:

Not too shabby of YouTube numbers, but obviously not close to a million. Look, I’m a company guy. I slinged pasta to survive and keep on blogging for Barstool. I got cut open as a result of literally fighting to expand the cause. I refused to sue and thus do not own 1/2 of a Nantucket house after #ShowerGate (even though the statute of limitations for sexual harassment in the workplace is 2 years in the great state of Minnesota). I just like to keep my head down and continue taking my lunchpail to work everyday. But even I know putting in the due diligence for Barstool and then having someone from another freaking company reap the rewards is the most Smitty thing ever. We just have to live to fight another day.

PS – Chances I get yelled at for another platform ripping a video we created go viral even though we absolutely have the greater internal means to make do better on its own? 100000000%.

PPS – As long as Ninja keeps on poking the bear, I will be on the hunt. All heart, all the time.
