I'm Officially Worried About What LeBron Is Teaching At His New School After He Talks For The First Time Since Free Agency
Listen, there’s no one in the world that can knock what LeBron is doing off the court. Building this school is one of the coolest things we’ve seen an athlete do for kids. He’s been awesome off the court with charities and this just tops it all.
However, this is the first time he spoke since joining the Lakers and I’m officially worried about what he’s going to be teaching these kids at I Promise.
LeBron was a fan of the Bulls, Yankees and Cowboys?!? How the hell can you teach these kids when you just jump on bandwagons. Let’s not forget that he was an Indians fan too when they were good when he was on the Cavs. Throw in that he grew up in Akron just down the road from Cleveland. When he was growing up the Cavs, Browns and Indians were all decent. It’s not like he had to cheer for the three biggest names in sports.
As for moving to the Lakers? Yeah, I get it. While he gets compared to Jordan his game mimics Magic more than Jordan, so him talking about that makes sense when talking about moving to the Lakers. That’s not the story here though.
So again. LeBron, awesome that you are providing this once in a lifetime opportunity for kids in Akron. Awesome that you can make everyone agree that this is one of the best causes an athlete has taken on. But, for the love of God, do not let them join bandwagons. Decorate that shit in Cavs gear. Make them all Browns fans. People shouldn’t have a fun time consistently cheering for sports (goddamn the Boston fans reading this). You should see heartbreak.
