Conor McGregor Fans Rejoice: The Champ Champ Is Fookin' Free

US-MMA-IRL-UFC-MCGREGOR-COURT

MMAjunkie- Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor today agreed to a plea deal that will keep him out of jail and allow him to resume his fighting career.

McGregor, 30, and his teammate Cian Cowley, 25, today pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in Kings County Criminal Court in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Judge Raymond Rodriguez ordered McGregor to undergo five days of community service and one to three days of anger-management classes. McGregor also was ordered to pay restitution for the bus attack that left two UFC fighters injured.

With tears in my eyes, I’m happy to report that we’ve done it. Conor McGregor is a free man. Free to fight, free to enter and exit the United States of America as he pleases, and free to do whatever the fook he wants (except be on the same card as Michael Chiesa or Ray Borg until July 2020). I’m not going to sit here and tell you I had anything to do with that, necessarily, but I definitely had something to do with it. From showing my unwavering support last time, and having Conor recognize it and thank me for it…

…all the way to getting written a summons live on ESPN for “Unreasonable Noise” after bodybagging their cameraman with some of the slickest shuffle moves you’ve ever seen.

Do I regret using my megaphone a few minutes after the police specifically told me not to? No. I don’t. I believe in the First Amendment and I believe in justice, and what was Conor was put through these past few months has been a massive injustice. I had to get the word out there in any manner I could, and if a summons and a court date is the price I had to pay for that, so be it. At least I’m gonna be appearing in the same court as my guy. I’m sure he’ll fly out to show his support for me in October.

Might even have to give the People’s Lawyer Michael Portnoy Esq. down to Brooklyn to represent me.

In the ESPN interview I interrupted with Audie Attar, Conor’s manager, it was said that they’re in the “red zone” when it comes to negotiations on the Khabib Nurmagomedov fight and that the targeted date is October 6th, as I previously teased on Twitter.

That’d be fantastic obviously and Ariel Helwani claims that’s the date the UFC is really hoping for, but Khabib has already come out and responded that he’d rather fight at Madison Square Garden in November. More to develop on that progress shortly, I’d imagine.

Full video of today’s protest and my run-in with the po-po coming later today.
