Team USA Winning The Gold Medal Over Spain In The 2008 Olympics Takes You Into The 4th Of July

Hope everyone has an awesome 4th of July, but here’s a little something to get ready to celebrate. This is one of the more memorable Team USA basketball games I can remember as it solidified the return to greatness. This was one of those games that you either had to wake up in the middle of the night for or you stayed up all night to watch this game live. Luckily I was in college therefore sleeping wasn’t an option and I’m damn glad. As much as it pains me to say this, Kobe and D-Wade were absolutely unreal in this game combining for 47 points. It was one of those moments where you could see how much winning gold for the USA mattered for these guys and quite frankly it was fucking awesome. After the 2004 disaster, it was a requirement from Team USA to get back on top and the Redeem Team did just that.
