Tim Tebow Took A Baseball Directly Off The Head Last Night

So this video has been making its rounds on the internet today, with all the non-believers pointing their fingers and laughing. And that’s fine, I get it. The closer Tim Tebow gets to the Big Leagues, the more likely he is to get some of the Mets stench on him. The fact Jay Bruce or Jose Reyes haven’t taken a ball off the dome yet this season is actually kind of an upset when you think about it.

But I can’t get upset at Tim Tebow for misplaying a ball in front of a minor league monster wall like that. It was a tough play in a tough park. I need Tebow to be ready to patrol the outfield of NL East ballparks during the Wilpons’ inevitable call-up/money grab in September. I don’t give a shit about how well Timmy can play the Mawnstuh in Fenway or that baby park in the Bronx. All that matters is that Tim Tebow never gave up on the play in signature Tim Tebow fashion, held the guy to a triple, and went 3-for-4 at the dish with 2 RBI steaks despite taking a blow in the ol’ CTE Center. If the Mets had more people with that much heart in their body and life in their bat, maybe they wouldn’t be 1/2 game out of the gutter of the NL East right now. So keep your head up Timmy. Plenty of people gave up on Jesus during his 40 days in the desert and even former MVPs have taken a ball off the noggin in the outfield.
