Washington Post - Doors for the Mystics-Lynx game will open at 3 p.m., and tickets to the game will be free. Monumental said all tickets already purchased directly from the Mystics will be automatically refunded; fans who purchased tickets from another source should contact that source directly, but all previously purchased tickets will remain valid for entry, according to the organization.

Fans without Mystics tickets who want to attend Thursday’s watch party, meanwhile, must RSVP for watch party tickets online. Tickets will be available at washingtoncaps.com/viewingparty beginning at 1 p.m. on Wednesday and are limited to two per person, but having a ticket does not guarantee entry.

Tomorrow’s Mystics game is going to be out of control. I’m actually thinking about getting on a train and heading down for a WNBA game just to be in that crowd. And the reason is, in order to get tickets to the Caps game 5 viewing party, which have averaged ~15,000 fans per game, you need to have a ticket to the Mystics game which will be before it. And people will show up to the Mystics game to get the best seat they can for the Caps viewing party. Therefor, in conclusion, the Mystics game is going to be DRUNK. Nobody in DC is going to work tomorrow. They are going to start drinking at 3pm for the Mystics game, and then parlay that right into the Caps game. And the arena is not cutting off beer sales between games, which is pleasant news for these ears. By the 4th quarter it wouldn’t shock me if everyone on the Lynx was heckled out of the building. Ever heard 15,000 drunk, starving for a Cup Caps fans go nuts for women’s basketball? Me neither, and I cannot wait to see it. Bless those fans who won’t even make it to the Caps game. Imagine the Caps win the Cup and you’re a fan and you got so blacked out at the WNBA game beforehand and you don’t even remember it. They will be there, and I weep for them already.
