You Can Hate On Draymond Green All You Want, But His Postgame Reaction To Finding Out JR Smith Said He Thought The Game Was Tied Was Incredible

I completely understand if you absolutely hate Draymond Green. He does just about everything possible to rub an opposing fan the wrong way on the court. He’s the ultimate love him if he’s on your team, hate him if he’s against you type of guy. But it’s impossible not to laugh at that postgame press conference when Mark Schawrtz tells him and Steph that J.R. Smith told reporters he thought the game was tied with 4.7 seconds left after grabbing the rebound. Steph Curry will probably go down as the greatest three point shooter of all time, but his most impressive accomplishment to date might be not bursting out in uncontrollable laughter during that moment. Draymond could not comprehend that JR would say such a thing. I’ve never seen someone so confused. I must have watched his facial expressions at least 50 times last night.

All this made me think of was when all the Warriors players got back to the locker room and they closed the doors from the media. I hope after the Warriors handle Cleveland in this series we get a behind-the-scenes look into the Golden State locker room for that moment.

I mean how do you not know the score of an NBA Finals game with 5 seconds left, during a dead ball. What a moment. The only thing better at the time would’ve been if J.R. just chucked the ball in the air to kill the remaining time.
