Thank You Lazar Hayward!

s

Congratulations to Lazard Hayward! He is officially on my Christmas Card list from now till eternity. It's the least I can do for him stepping over the baseline on an inbounds pass with 4 seconds left in a 2 pt game when I had Missouri -3. Words simply can't express my gratitude. 14-6 in the first round bitches! Viva La Stool!

Chickenshit call.

The Crosby Show, Mar 22 2009, 8:14 pm

it's what you call a 2k swing in the biz. THANK YOU Mr Hayward.

TommyK, Mar 22 2009, 8:16 pm

true march madness when ep is on a roll

El Duder, Mar 22 2009, 8:49 pm

Lazar Haywood clearly had Mizzou -3.

DetroitRed, Mar 22 2009, 8:50 pm

How is that a chickenshit call? The ref is just suppose to ignore a black and white call?

B's, Pats, Sox, Celts, Mar 22 2009, 8:59 pm

Will never forget this, possibly, my best " lost this bet..., holy shit " moment I have ever personally had. That was amazing. No way Mizzou covers without that.

Llama, Mar 22 2009, 9:06 pm

The no-call on the three-point attempt in the last few seconds was worse, lots can happen in a four point game and three free throws with about 1.5 seconds on the clock, especially with a 3 or 4 point spread (depending on what you got).

JugBanger, Mar 22 2009, 9:09 pm

Big East sets another record with 5 teams in the sweet 16.....If Marquette didn't choke at the end it would have been 6.

ACC has a paltry 2, and Duke has no chance...

realist, Mar 22 2009, 9:11 pm

Pres, please stop saying "bitches" all the time like you're skanky Paris Hilton. You sound like a tool.

MarchMadness, Mar 22 2009, 9:17 pm

another 153 correct betting calls and you'll be back to .500. the monkey on your back, though, is called regression toward the mean. it's only a matter of time before mush everything up like you always do.

goosemeister, Mar 22 2009, 9:29 pm

Double pits to chesty.... Duke will smoke 'No Fun

Gladiators Ready..., Mar 22 2009, 9:30 pm

I am confused. Is ND in the Big East? Oh, just for BB. How about St. John's, Seton Hall, etc.

The league is a travesty. At least the sorry ass ACC has most of its teams playing most of the sports.

You sound like the majority of Duke BB "fans" I know. When asked about Duke football, they run away and hide.

nodook, Mar 22 2009, 9:34 pm

— nodook, Mar 22 2009, 9:34 pm

Run and hide? no chance, we have the highest graduation rate in the league

Gladiators Ready..., Mar 22 2009, 9:36 pm

lazar hayward just made his way onto many instructional videos for atrocities you SHANT COMMIT IN ANY LEVEL OF BASKETBALL

weezy F baby, Mar 22 2009, 9:45 pm

Gladiators,

How does that relate to being a football fan? It is common knowledge that once a "student" gets into UNJD (aka Duke), it is virtually impossible to flunk out or get a poor grade as long as the checks keep coming. As far as your "athletes" are concerned, you will always have Gene "Tinkerbell" Banks. Nice SAT.

nodook, Mar 22 2009, 9:51 pm

Notre Dame participates in the Big East in every sport except football.

dash595959, Mar 22 2009, 9:52 pm

Why were the duck boats not cued after that play?

bosstone, Mar 22 2009, 11:06 pm

gladiator, dukes graduation percentage is tied with bc

cityofchamps15, Mar 22 2009, 11:38 pm

"Chickenshit call."

Kind of like the tuck rule

PatsSUCK, Mar 22 2009, 11:59 pm

I think the Big East has proven they're the best basketball conference this season

SteelerNation, Mar 23 2009, 12:06 am

Get a life cumguzzler

Joseph Blue Palasky, Mar 23 2009, 1:36 am

Crosby,

Surprised to see you say that. Not a chickenshit call at all. Unfortunate that it happened but you gotta call it.

PatSUCK,
It was the definition of the rule. It still exists so football people like it. You had your chance to win the Super Bowl the next year and you fucking blew it.

Soog, Mar 23 2009, 2:10 am

God I hope Mike Anderson comes to Alabama to be the next head coach after Memphis beats them on Thursday

BGZ, Mar 23 2009, 2:36 am

"Kind of like the tuck rule
— PatsSUCK, Mar 22 2009, 11:59 pm"

That doesn't remotely make sense. The guy stepped over the baseline...How is that in any way along the same line as the tuck rule (with the exception of them both being rules)?

onlyidleft, Mar 23 2009, 8:50 am

I can't stop looking at the two blond LSU hotties below.

Schmidthead, Mar 23 2009, 9:01 am

ep, thanks for the big 12 support this weekend.

louisville v. ku is going to be a great game.

ShadyLady, Mar 23 2009, 9:15 am

I love the tuck rule people, they all seem to forget the fact that Brady got smacked in the head at the exact same time.

CptKangarooBalls, Mar 23 2009, 9:48 am

"PatSUCK,

I'm a Steelers fan, we had two chances to the win the super bowl since then, won them both. So you can shove that horseshit up your ass.

PatsSUCK, Mar 23 2009, 10:09 am

"I love the tuck rule people, they all seem to forget the fact that Brady got smacked in the head at the exact same time."

What dose that have to do with him fumbling the ball? That's the problem with Pats fans, you think you know football but a majority of you weren't even fans until you cheaterd your way to championships.

PatsSUCK, Mar 23 2009, 10:11 am

PatSUCK,

— Soog, Mar 23 2009, 2:10 am

And you had your chance to have a perfect season and you fucking blew it. You guys have blown the last 4 years. While we have 2...

And it looks like because your QB is to soft and cannot take a hit they're going to be changing the rules to make it two hand touch on the QB.

In all seriousness they need to stop on the hitting the QB rules. No touching their head, don't touch them the second the ball leaves their hand, and now possibly no "lunging at the QB's legs". Come on, they're football players too, they can get hit.

SteelerNation, Mar 23 2009, 10:37 am

Patssuck, if you had half a brain (which most in Pittsburgh do so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt) you would realize that he was referring to the year after the "tuck rule". Yes, you made it to the Superbowl twice. Hooray...great for you. Why didn't you win it the year after the tuck rule? Oh...yea...sorry.

tapout21, Mar 23 2009, 10:40 am

Why didn't you win it the year after the tuck rule? Oh...yea...sorry.

— tapout21, Mar 23 2009, 10:40 am

Why didn't you win it the last 4 years?
Oh...yea...sorry

SteelerNation, Mar 23 2009, 10:42 am

"Yes, you made it to the Superbowl twice. Hooray...great for you. Why didn't you win it the year after the tuck rule? Oh...yea...sorry."

Probably because you cheated and knew every defensive play we were running, hence why you ran a screen to the opposite side of our blitz every single play. Did you happen to watch last season when we demolished you on your own field? Pretty hard to beat the Steelers when you don't know what play they are running.

PatsSUCK, Mar 23 2009, 10:46 am

Had Marq +3 1/2. Fucking asshole cost me a dime because he couldn't just inbound the ball.

OIFSeabee06, Mar 23 2009, 11:20 am

Wow two steeler's fans today. Soog brought up the point that you had the opportunity to win it the next year and you didn't. Neither did we.

Go back to your perogies and awful wives.

tapout21, Mar 23 2009, 11:26 am

Steelers fans are hilarious. Great superbowl win and a damn good team. When you have one winning team rather than four, you really reach. Steelers fans spend their days searching the internet for sports blogs and post about the steelers. I'll root for the steelers over the Raiders, Jets, Colts, Packers(well, when they had Favree), and Denver. Watch the steeler idiots that will come out of the woodwork.

Sunday “Threepack Bounceback” Mortal Locks  (12-5 In Tournament)

I know what people are thinking?    Bounce back?   What am I talking about?Didn’t I go 3-2 yesterday?  Well the answer is yes I did.    But when you’re hitting 70% of your games like I have been this tournament 3-2 is flat out unacceptable.   Sure most people would give their right pinky to go 3-2, but not me.  Nothing but perfection will suffice.   So I apologize to everybody who put their faith in me yesterday and only won a little money.    You deserve better.   So without further ado here are 3 stone cold winners for today.    My only request is that after I sweep the board buy a couple Aroid t-shirts because I still got a shitload of them.

l

Cleveland State vs. Arizona -2.5

I told everybody at the beginning of the tournament that Cleveland State was a lock for the Sweet 16.   So shame on you if you didn’t jump on them vs. Wake Forest.  But luckily for you it’s not too late.   Somehow Vegas has installed the Vikings as a 2 pt underdog today against Arizona.  BAHAHAHA!   Listen, if these teams played 100 times Cleveland State would win 99 of those games.    So if you like money put the fucking house on the Vikings because this puts the “no” in no brainer.

The Pick – Cleveland State

Dayton vs. Kansas -8

The party ends tonight for Dayton.    Kansas is a final 4 caliber team.    This may be close for a half, but the Jayhawks will pull away down the stretch for a double digit victory.

The Pick – Kansas

m

Marquette vs. Missouri -3

I said it before and I’ll say it again.   Marquette is nothing without Dominique James.  It sucks for them because they could have made a run at this thing if he was healthy but they just aren’t the same without him.  Meanwhile Missouri has been the class of the Big 12 almost the entire season.    If you think Missouri is going to win this game which I do then you got to assume they’ll cover the 3 point spread.

The Pick - Missouri
