Knee Jerk Reactions to Week 3: Pats vs. Dolphins

Things to consider while waiting for the righteous indignation over the Dolphins running up the score on a Hall of Fame coach:

*Give the Patriots credit for one thing: they don't do anything halfassed.  They won't have a perfect season, but this was a perfect loss.  At home.  Against a divisional opponent who last season was the worst team in decades.  Going into a bye week. And getting burned over and over again by the same gadget plays that will form the foundation of every highlight reel package for the next two weeks.  If this loss were any more complete, Bob Kraft would be hanging a banner for it.

*How many times did they run that direct snap to Ronnie Brown?  Four?  And every time they did, you kept secretly hoping that this was just a replay of the last time.  Except it got worse each time.  Between the actual plays and the replays they must have shown the same formation, with the same terrible result like 16 times.  Repeated over and over again like Marcia stepping into the back yard "Hey you guys, OW! MY NOSE!  Hey you guys, OW! MY NOSE! Hey you guys..."

*The worst part about it is that the entire Patriots coaching staff was outsmarted by Tony Sparano, who's last head coaching job was at the U. of New Haven, which isn't even the best football school named U.N.H.
