Portsmouth Bars Blacklist Assholes
PORTSMOUTH — Defense lawyers are questioning the decision made by several downtown business owners to band together in keeping unruly customers out of their establishments. A new policy states that if a customer gets booted from a bar or restaurant, he or she will also be banned from 13 others. Lists will be distributed among the 14 locations and the police will retain the records. If a barred patron goes into one of the establishments, he or she could be arrested by police and charged with a Class A misdemeanor for criminal trespassing.
Regardless of whether this is legal or not this is a great rule! If you get booted from one bar you should be forced to call it a night and go home. Because I bet 99% of people get tossed again and probably start a fight in the process. In fact if anything I’d like to take this rule a step further. If you get kicked out for being an asshole you should be banned from going out for like a month or something. Is there anybody who could possibly be against this?
Notre Dame Caught in "LaptopGate"?
EAST LANSING, Mich. The Notre Dame football coaching staff had a laptop computer confiscated from its booth in the Spartan Stadium press box Saturday late in the first half of Michigan State's 23-7 victory over the Irish. Russell spoke with ND head coach Charlie Weis about the issue and the computer was promptly confiscated. "What happened is that there was a laptop or something in the box and they came over and asked me about it, so I asked upstairs if there was one," Weis said. "I was talking to (offensive coordinator) Michael (Haywood) and he said, 'No,' but I guess one of the interns had one. Then I immediately told those guys (officials) about the intern, and they immediately took it off the ledge and put it on the floor right there.
"It wasn't like somebody was trying to do something illegal. And I made sure I let them know it at halftime that that was the case. The last thing I ever want to do is lie."
Damn right, Charlie Weis! Notre Dame doesn't tolerate lying or cheating, just ask George O'Leary. Or underage drinking, just ask Mike Golic's kid. Maybe that stuff gets tolerated at other schools. Pot Rally On Boston Commons
BOSTON -- Pro-marijuana advocates gathered for an annual rally on Boston Common as voters weigh a ballot question that would ease penalties on pot possession. Police made six arrests at the rally, held to call for the legalization of the drug. The mood among the revelers Saturday was upbeat at the possibility that voters might back the ballot initiative, which would make possession of up to an ounce of marijuana a civil offense punishable by a $100 fine. Supporters say it would reduce the burden on the criminal justice system by sparing those found with small amounts from facing a criminal record and jail. But critics, including the state's 11 district attorneys, say it would lead to more drug abuse among young people.
You know before I read this story I was 100% planning on voting in favor of this weed legislation. But this rally has made me think twice. I mean look at these fuckers! How can anything that these people are in favor of actually be good for America? In fact if I was giving advice to the pot head community it would be not to be seen together in public. Because natural human instinct is just to vote against whatever the hell these people are voting for. Seriously at least throw a football around or have some hot college chicks get horny while taking a hit or something to make me feel better about myself.

Pats Get Crushed...No Need To Worry Yet

The next two weeks should be fun around here huh? Prepare yourself for nonstop talk about how the Pats suck, the Bills are the new favorites to win the AFC East, Matt Cassel is a joke and how our defense couldn’t stop Rudy Harris in his prime at Brockton High School. Well let me be the first to say relax. Did the Pats look like shit? Yup. Will they make the playoffs if they continue to play like that? Nope. Am I the least bit worried? Absolutely not. I hate to break it to you, but this is what the NFL is all about people. It’s a battle from week to week. One second you look like world beaters and the next second you’re losing to the Dolphins. That’s why the consistency of this franchise is the stuff of legends. It’s hard enough to win 2 in a row never mind 21. Now having said that, with the exception of last year, the trademark of this Dynasty has been that they get better as the season goes on. In fact every year we won the Super Bowl we gave up at least 30 pts in an early season blow out loss. And in 2005 (the year we were clearly the best team but choked against Denver) we were getting blown out almost every other week early in the season. So even though it sucks to lose, I’m certainly not going to freak out about it. At least not in September. Because if history is any indication these types of losses tend to bold well for the long run and that’s all that matters.
