Wickedlocal.com - Police were flagged down at an Ashford Court residence because a 20-year-old Boston University student wanted to report that her roommates, also 20, “appeared to have put semen in a shampoo bottle of hers.” Although there was no violence, “both parties admitted to writing and drawing various things on each other’s dry boards such as male genitalia.” All parties were advised of their rights under domestic violence law and advised to see help on the matter from BU, where the parties are students.

NESN Quits on the Bruins

Well it seems that the bigwigs over at NESN (oxymoron) must have been reading Rear Admiral's blog about the unlikelihood of a Bruins comeback because they have pulled the plug on HD tonight opting to show the Red Sox instead. Yup April baseball has trumped playoff hockey in the hub. It is a decision that I still find ludicrous. Somewhere in a dark alley Whitney weeps.

Teen Mom Throws Baby at Social Worker
A teenage mother whose newborn baby was taken from her by social workers has been banned from seeing her son after she threw him across the room during a fight with the boy's father. The fight occurred while the parents were visiting the baby, who is currently in foster care, during a session supervised by social workers from Nottingham City Council. The baby, known as K, had been taken away from the mother just two hours after he was born because the local authority feared she was not in a fit state to look after him. ... When one of the social workers said "give me the baby", she threw the child at her from about 18in away. The social worker observed that she did this "without due care of where he was actually going to land and without supporting his head".
I think enormous credit is due here to the British social workers. It's nice not only that they helped save baby K, but that in the middle of this gut wrenching story of a broken home, dysfunctional teenage parents and child endangerment, you get a nice little tip on how to properly throw a baby. "Supporting his head" is key. A flopping baby head will offer wind resistance and drag the baby down and away from your target, like a knuckleball or the flaps on an airplane wing. The key to proper baby throwing is to get a good, balanced stance (feet shoulder width apart), point your left shoulder toward the social worker, bring the baby behind your head, step into the throw and have a good follow-through. That will produce a good, tight spiral and give you more accuracy. It's amazing training those Brit DSS workers get, especially in a country where they're most just used to kicking.
Sex Scandal Teacher Caught Again
TAMPA - When teacher Stephanie Ragusa was having sex with a Davidsen Middle School student last year, she became intimate with a second student, investigators said. Ragusa, 28, was arrested again Tuesday, accused of having a sexual relationship with another Davidsen student when the boy was 15, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said. She was first arrested March 13, charged with five counts of lewd and lascivious battery. Investigators accused her of having sex at least three times with a then 
14-year-old boy from January 2007 to May 2007. On Tuesday, Ragusa was further charged with two counts of sex with a minor and one count of lewd and lascivious battery stemming from her relationship with the 15-year-old, sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter said. She added that "there could potentially be other victims."
Let's hear it for Tampa once again. The Bay is already dominates the entire Sex Scandal Teacher world, but now they're just running up the score. And Stephanie is breaking new ground here. If lacivious, sex-crazed educators are known for anything, it's monogamy. But Miss Ragusa is breaking the mold. One kid getting his freak on with Steph was good news. Two is great. The notion that there could "potentially be other victims" will cause a stampede of 14 year old boys hounding their parents to move to the area and do more for the Tampa Bay housing market than great weather and the Devil Rays ever could.
I graded Stephanie Ragusa here back on St. Patrick's Day and gave her a B. Nice work, but nothing special. The great thing about this class though, is you can always come back for extra credit. While her looks stay the same, she's raised her GPA in every other area.

I have a dumb question. And I’m sure it’s a question that has been asked a million times, but I’ve never heard anybody talk about it before. Why doesn’t UMass join the Big East? Because as long as they remain in the A10 this type of shit is always going to happen. They are forever going to be a stepping stone for good coaches. The second they get a good coach he’s just going to jump ship and they’ll be back at square 1. And it’s impossible to blame Travis Ford either. I mean would you stay at UMass? Of course not. The only way this can possibly change is if they step up in conferences. I don’t even know why they’re not in the Big East to begin with. Isn’t UMass a huge state school? Why are the fucking around with the Temple’s, Dayton’s and URI’s of the world? It seems like UMass would be a perfect fit for the Big East especially now with BC in the ACC. Plus I’m guessing they could probably build up their football program fairly quickly as well. After all they have no academic requirements to speak of so I’m sure they could recruit whoever the hell they wanted. It just makes no sense to me. And I think Boston would get behind UMass way more than BC because it’s a public state school. Not to mention the fact that a good sports program would bring some respect to UMass. I don’t know. Just seems like such an obvious move, I’m not sure why I never hear people talk about it.

So 3 buddies and I walk into Lir on Boylston Street bar around 5:30pm Sunday before the Sox vs. Yanks game to grab some beers and grub before the game. Obviously we’re all in Sox gear. Immediately upon entering the bar we hear a scream of "Yankees!!!" in our direction. Fine, whatever. I’m ok with some Yankee/red sox banter. Anyway we look over and see this prick with a Robinson Cano Yankee jersey on and another guy who I assumed at this point was his BF sitting next to him. These 2 guys were annihilated and you could tell the girls they were with were kind of embarrassed. (One super hot blonde and one ugly girl) The blonde girl kind of rolled her eyes in disgust at her "friends" behavior and told them to stop. I said jokingly "don't worry about it...there is an asshole in every crowd". No response. Ok end of story right? Not even close. Minutes later we overhear these kids discussing how if they fight us it’s going to have to be a 2 on 1 for each of them since there is 4 of us and 2 of them. I look at my buddies and we're making sure we just heard what we heard and kind of laugh. We just ignore them. Next we see these 2 kids slap fighting each other. Seriously you can’t make this shit up. It was the gayest thing I have ever seen in my life. Two Yankee fans having a slap fight in a bar in Boston wearing full Yankees garb. I wish I had my camera. A few minutes later as we are finishing up I see one of the dudes out of the corner of my eye flip us off. So we go up to them and ask if they got a problem. Kid has the best line of all time. He says

Total pussy move! Bouncer intervenes right then and grabs the guys and throws them out. The second the bouncers get in the way the KID freaks out and starts yelling "wanna bash heads!".."Let’s do this!"..."me and you!"... Meanwhile the Hot Blonde stands in front of me with her hands on me "please don’t!" Anyway Bouncers get our group to go back inside and escort these idiots out of there. Since THAT moment we have wondered what happened to those two assclowns when they got to the game...
CUE BARSTOOL SPORTS and the story about the 2 jackass Revolution players. "THESE WERE THE KIDS" We looked at the roster and the 2nd dude was #8 JOE FRANCHINO. Long story short...Fuck this kid. Fuck Gary Flood. Fuck the Yankees. Fuck soccer....

The problem with soccer is that is played by fairies, plain and simple. In no other sport do the players aspire to win Oscars for their reaction after getting kicked in the shin by another player. Granted, the NHL is getting to be that way, and that totally sucks---I blame the Euro influence 100%.
Also, soccer suffers from an image problem here in the good ol' US, in that it became associated with the uber-faggy elements of modern-day feel-good youth sports, where no one wins, no one loses, everyone gets a trophy, and everyone piles in to mommy's minivan afterwards for a softie cone at the DQ. Real red-blooded American sports fans don't cotton to that kind of shit.
For those two reasons, I doubt soccer will ever catch on here in the United States on a professional level in a big way.

Soccer is definitely cool and fun to watch/play. However, the reason that it does so shitty here is the competition. In other parts of the world, they dont have NBA/NFL/NBA at the high levels that we do (BBall is getting good but not there)...they dont have anything else to do with themselves. I wouldn't watch soccer if it was in my backyard and the beer was free. But I understand thats just my opinion. The broader problem that I see with the MLS is the same problem the WNBA has. It markets the sport of basketball/soccer but has inferior players it. Even if I was a soccer fan, why would I want to watch a slower less exciting MLS when I can watch the English Premier league or its counterparts in South America?
By the way, I just want to say that even though I hold no allegiance to any New England teams. It's articles like this that make me read the Stool every 15 minutes. The Shannon Elizabeth shit doesn't hurt either.

AS far as quality of players in MLS: how would you know what the quality of play and player abilities are if you don't watch the game? Now we have experts who hate soccer but know what good soccer is and what bad soccer is.
As far as diving goes, if you look at AMERICAN players and fans, you'll see we hate it just as much as you do. A majority of known divers in MLS are from other countries. They American mantra of "don't be a pussy" has leaked into soccer. Not to mention, it's just as common in NBA and NHL. There are times in basketball when they actually play to foul.

I think the point of the story is that Flood (and Franchino) are idiots for thinking they could get wasted, slap fight each other, get kicked out of a bar and out of Fenway, and not have anyone realize that they play professional sports in this city.. even if it is only soccer. Of course, the very fact that the sport they play happens to be soccer is enough for soccer-bashers to trot the same old stuff about diving, cheating, everyone associated with the sport at any level being a guaranteed homosexual etc etc. There are plenty of soccer players and fans on here but Garrett, this board is not the best place to convert the likes of WilforkUup.
