Grading the Newest Sex Scandal Teacher
TAMPA - A middle school math teacher was arrested today and accused by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office of having sex with a 15-year-old boy. Stephanie Marie Ragusa, 28, of 15324 Lake Bella Vista Drive, Tampa, was charged with five counts of lewd and lascivious battery.
According to the sheriff's office, Ragusa had a sexual relationship with the teen when she was a teacher at Davidsen Middle School in Tampa last year. The
teen... was not a student of Ragusa's, authorities said. Ragusa and the 15-year-old had sex five times from Oct. 1, 2006 to May 4, 2007... One of the encounters took place while the teen should have been in an after-school class and others occurred in Ragusa's car and apartment.
As far as I know, Stephanie may have given us a Sex Teacher first: the actual seduction of a kid that wasn't one of her students. Think of what an undertaking that is. I've always assumed that these things come about over weeks and months of classroom time. Where the teacher, overcome by the kid's adolescent sex appeal and her own utter lack of morals, can't control herself. Where she spends hours teaching the kid hypotenuses, secretly wishing he'd increase the angle of her legs and it's off to the back seat with both of them. But how did they pull this one off? Did the kid pass her in the hall and she couldn't resist his "Don't Tase Me, Bro" t-shirt and the Green Day stickers on his book cover? The real victims here are the boys in her classes, who have to feel passed over. Those boys are probably scarred for life.
The Grades:
Looks: I mean, her skin isn't the best, but when you're a 15 year old boy, your choices are pretty much binary: Accept a little acne or stay a virgin. Grade: B
Moral Compass/Bad Judgement: Again, pulling a kid out of the crowd who was not in her class and therefore essentially a stranger leads to big time credit here. Loses some points for only having five encounters over a seven month period. What kind of sexual deviant does that? Grade: B-
Intangibles: Does anyone else think "after-school class" means "detention"? Whatever the kid did to be kept after school, his punishment was to bone his 28 year old teacher. That'll teach him to straighten up and fly right. Grade: A
Overall: B. Nice work. (Thanks to Six Ten for the link.)
