   yeah being the gun nut that i am i am obligated to tell you that a glock 22 is not chambered in .22lr or any .22 caliber. its chambered in .40 s and w. I just couldn't let that one go

   MLI is right, but even if he hadn't corrected you Maurice, just the size of the round as it swirls around in the water it's obviously bigger than a .22. I guess since he wasn't holding it sideways you didn't recognize it?

   all that shit in movies is completely fake.  Mythbusters shot a .50 cal at point blank range into a pool and the bullet went like 2 feet.  moral of the story the next time your getting shot at jump in the nearest lake and you'll be ok

   It might be Back to School (or another diving movie) but the coach takes a hand gun and shoots it into a bucket and the bullet doesn't hit the bottom.

   @tonyteabags- a .50 caliber bullet probably splintered/shatter when it hit the water because it is such a high power round, i admittedly have not shot many (any) rounds into water but i would guess a smaller and lower velocity round would actually fare better being shot into water than a .50 bmg
